Hello folks. I know there’s some of you reading this that I haven’t heard from yet. I’d sure love to talk about my birds & or yours. I’ve been retired for twelve years; I never knew that retirement could be so good. I play with the birds during the day (really work) and play my music during the night, when I should be sleeping.
I raise mainly two breeds of Pigeons. My first love, is my Valencian Figuritas. They are the nicest temperament of any pigeon I’ve ever raised. Second, is the Barb’s. I guess I like these birds, because of the rarity of them. Very few people raise these; first of all they are a powerful bird. I’ve had my hat & my glasses knocked off at the same time. They don’t;’ ever really want to tame down. Now , these birds I will probably never get rid of, is my Ring Neck doves./ I raise them in quite a few colors, but by far not all colors. There are nearly forty colors that are recognized by the ADA .
Now for the best part, my wife is my rock. When things aren’t going well, she’s there with a soft voice telling me, It will get better. After 52 years of marriage to this wonderful woman, she’s still by my side. For that, I can be thankful. I’ll be waiting to hear from you. In the great Hobby of raising P. & D.
